This is the most comprehensive transportation HazMat training offered. It focuses on providing trainees with a complete understanding of the Federal Hazardous Materials Regulations and how to properly apply them to both hazmat shipments and hazmat employees. Attendees will leave this training with essential knowledge they can take back to their companies and apply on Day One.

Course Details
  • The course is 36 hours from Monday-Friday and will end at Noon on Friday.
  • Participants receive a copy of the US HazMat Regulations and course materials to keep for reference.
  • Each Module includes an exercise to reinforce the knowledge learned.
  • Post Training Test – Passing grade needed to satisfactorily pass the class and receive a Certificate of Completion. Test results will be reviewed with the students.
  • A Pre-Test is offered to assess the amount learned if requested by the client.
Course Objectives
  1. Provide training for Hazmat employees to fulfill the initial and recurring training requirements outlined in 49 CFR 172.704(c) for the following:
    1. General Awareness/Familiarization. 172.704(a)(1)
    2. Function Specific. 172.704(a)(2)
    3. 172.704(a)(3)
    4. Security awareness. 172.704(a)(4)
  2. Educate the industry on what to expect and how to prepare for Federal/State roadside inspections and investigations for Hazardous Materials compliance and enforcement activities.
  3. Identify top violations discovered during roadside inspections and investigations, potential penalties for non-compliance, and how to mitigate their occurrence.
  4. Identify the documentation and recordkeeping requirements to comply with the Hazardous Materials Regulations
