Former Motor Carrier Executive Joins STC
Veteran leader David O’Neal joins STC’to expand trucking safety and compliance service offerings.
ARLINGTON, Va. - Scopelitis Transportation Consulting (STC), a specialized transportation advisory business, announced the expansion of its team with the addition of David O’Neal as senior associate. He joins STC co-directors P. Sean Garney and Steve Keppler in offering clients a wide range of resources and subject matter expertise in trucking and transportation.

During the seven years since its inception, STC has continually expanded its resource offerings, recruited top talent, and established itself as a leading safety, regulatory compliance, and training consultancy. O’Neal started his career in 1996, holding positions of increasing responsibility with American Freightways, which would later become FedEx Freight. He has held managing director of safety positions at FedEx Freight and FedEx Ground and has served in vice president of safety roles at Roadrunner and Yellow Corporation. He was also the first safety director for the Arkansas Trucking Association, where he later served as vice president and created carrier- and public-facing safety programs. While at the Arkansas Trucking Association, the programs O’Neal oversaw won the American Trucking Associations’ Excellence in Safety Award. O’Neal frequently serves as a resource and subject matter expert on safety and regulatory issues for carriers of all sizes and is a certified director of safety (CDS) through the North American Transportation Management Institute (NATMI).
