FMCSA has been ramping up enforcement on drivers and motor carriers for operating in prohibited status due to drug and alcohol violations listed in the Clearinghouse. Since the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse program began, FMCSA has issued 181 notice of claims (fines) to drivers and 200 notice of claims to motor carriers for allowing drivers to operate despite being prohibited from operating a CMV based on drug or alcohol violations.
