- According to the Truck Safety Coalition, the top 12 states for truck crashes per 100,000 population, according to the report, in order are Wyoming, New Mexico, Mississippi, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Idaho, Nebraska, Arkansas, Kansas, Montana, South Dakota, and Alabama. The top 5 states with the most fatalities in truck crashes were TX, CA, FL, NC, and IL.
- The National Safety Council’s preliminary analysis of the first half of 2025 indicates traffic crashes claimed 13% fewer lives compared to the same time last year. Ten states and the District of Columbia achieved decreases of 20% or more, while four states (HI, OK, KS, and WV) saw increases of 20% or more.
- 96% of drivers admit to aggressive driving behaviors according to the past year, with many saying their top motivation was to get to their destination faster or avoid perceived danger. 11% admitted to violating actions like intentionally pumping another car or confronting another driver, according to a AAA Study.
