  • CVSA’s June 9-13 HazMat/Dangerous Goods Enforcement Blitz netted 1,169 violations, 51% of which were out-of-service violations. The top five violations were for non-bulk placarding, bulk package marking, bulk placarding, bulk packaging, and no emergency response information.

 

  • The World Resources Institute estimates that switching to electric school buses in the U.S. could generate $1.6 billion in annual health and climate benefits.

 

  • The American Transportation Research Institute is surveying the trucking industry to identify its top issues of concern in preparation for its annual Critical Issues in the Trucking Industry report, scheduled for release in late October. You can take the survey here.
