- FMCSA has issued a waiver from both Hours of Service and Electronic Logging Device rules for fertilizer haulers across 35 states in response to a shortage during peak season. Unlike previous waivers, it limits drivers to 16 hours of driving time per 24-hour period, requires a minimum of 6 consecutive hours off each 24-hour period. The waiver expires August 26, 2026.
