- NHTSA has released its early estimates of motor vehicle traffic fatalities in 2024. They are projecting an estimated 39,345 fatalities, a 3.8% decrease. The report did not break out crashes involving heavy trucks.
- The American Society of Civil Engineers recently gave America’s roadways a grade of D+, estimating that driving on deteriorating and congested roads are costing the average driver $1,400 per year in operating costs and lost time.
- FMCSA Issued Notices of Proposed Removal from the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) for two doctors Drs. Jenny Le (NRCME No. 4762579227) and Dustin Mai (National Registry No. 7120983977). Certificates issued by Dr. Le and Dr. Mai between March 2023 and March 2025 will be voided. These drivers have until May 10, 2025 to obtain a new medical card.
